The iStick 40w is sort of a younger brother to the iStick 50w despite the fact it has newer technology by eleaf. This is the most affordable mod you can find if you want to leap into the temp game. Though like with every device it has it's pros and it's con. The iStick 40w takes a lot of its characteristics from the istick 20w which was a great device for beginners as well.

Inside the box you'll find the device it's self, next to a cut out for the eleaf gs tank, my unit did not ship with one however there are other bundles you can buy that it does ship with. Underneath the unit it's self you'll find documentation as well as a nicely packaged USB cable.

Let's talk about some of the iStick 40w specs.

The iStick 40w is packed with a single built in 18650 battery which is rated at 2600mAh, At the top of the device you'll find a sturdy spring loaded 51 adapter along with two holes for a lanyard.

Using the device is very easy to do which is why I think it's a great starters device. There are a total of four buttons on the device. The Fire button which is found at the top, the Up and Down buttons for wattage, and the middle button to switch into temp control mode.

At the bottom you'll find a USB charging port, it has sort of a raised lip which I kind of like this way it wont scratch up the charger port.

The finish on it is a beautiful almost sort of a matt finish which should hold up well over the time, it feels the same as any other iStick device if you are familiar with the istick family.

So to wrap this up I think it's a great starters device for anyone who wants to try temp control but doesn't want to spend an entire amount of money, or for someone who just doesn't like powerful devices.
